
Overspeed training is a great way to build explosive power in the legs. It involves pulling an athlete faster than they can run on their own. Our overspeed trainers are designed to improve stride frequency and stride length, which are important factors for speed development. How does it work? Two fully adjustable speed harnesses connect to a resistance cord. The cord is stretched to its max length before propelling the athlete faster than they normally run. While intended for overspeed training, this device can also be used for other activities. Each speed harness has two connection points: one in the front and one in the back, making it suitable for use as a waist belt. Just allow the shoulder straps hang freely around the waist. The belt can then be rotated to any position, which supports performance drills in multiple directions. The overspeed trainer is designed for use with a partner, but can also be used individually. Simply secure the opposite end to poles, fencing, cuffs, door anchors, etc. The bungee cord has a safety sleeve designed to prevent injury. It provides a maximum of 55 lbs of resistance and can be stretched approximately four times its resting length. Need more resistance? Got a creative idea?
