Can the PowerDash 3X be used to measure the 60 yard dash?

It is capable of testing the 60 yard dash, but you will need to purchase the 60 yard wire separately.

Can the PowerDash 3X be used to measure the 100 meter dash?

Yes, but you will need to purchase the 100 meter wire separately.

Can multiple timers be used side by side?

Absolutely! Multiple PowerDash 3X systems can be set up in lanes, side by side without any interference problems. Each system has its own sensor and reflector, and if set up correctly, they will all run independently. To further ensure correct functioning, place sensors and reflectors on the same side of each lane.

Can a single timer record finishing times for multiple athletes?

No. The PowerDash 3X is designed to test one athlete at a time.

Can the PowerDash 3X be used to measure the 400 meter run?

Unfortunately, no. Timer readings are accurate for distances up to 40 yards.

The timing unit of the PowerDash 3X comes in a portable, protective case that also houses sensors and reflectors. Tripods come in separate, easy carry totes. Cables come pre-rolled and marked at 10.0, 20.0, and 40.0 yards.

PositionStart™ technology, when used in conjunction with exact distance measurements, provides complete accuracy and repeatability in timing. It removes all human reaction error/bias, starting the timer when the athlete leaves the lazer beam.

The PowerDash 3X is also available with MotionStart™ upgrade (additional charges apply). This technology allows coaches and athletes to activate the timer when an athlete moves in front of the sensor. The MotionStart™ technology can be used to capture a snapshot of an athlete’s speed or acceleration while in motion versus starting the timer from a static position. This option is great for football receiver route drills, quarterback drops, baseball base running, offside trap work in soccer or hockey, and more.
