Performing push-ups on a weight bench will considerably reduce the physical demands of a standard push-up. The modified weight bench push-up has several potential uses. This exercise might be ideal for those who have trouble with regular push-ups. It is also great for improving muscular endurance in the chest muscles. If you are looking for a challenge, you might try the weight bench push-up with another exercise, such as the dumbbell chest press. Performing two different exercises for the same muscle group is known as a compound set. Listed below are instructions for push-ups on a weight bench:
Place your hands on a weight bench slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Slowly lower your chest to the bench. Push back up to the starting point. Ensure your back is straight at all times, and remember to exhale as you push up.
Step 1
Place hands on weight bench slighly wider than shoulder width.
Step 2
Lower chest to weight bench.
Step 3
Push back up to start position. Exhale.
